Our Early Childhood Education Undergraduate Program, which is under the Department of Elementary Education, started to provide education in the 2013-2014 Academic Year by accepting its first students with a hundred percent placement rate. In our Early Childhood Education Undergraduate Program, which prioritizes “professional training” and “character education”, we place great importance on school-university synergy studies in cooperation with educational institutions in Istanbul. 

In the field of teacher education, a democratic management approach established through experience and profession and character education and sharing activities established between faculty members, teacher candidates, students, school administrators and parents are among our main strategies. With this synergy partnership established between our Faculty and İstanbul Kültür Educational Institutions, we aim to share the best practices with other schools by adding official schools in and outside Istanbul to this partnership.

In addition, as a program that prioritizes “internationalization”, we aim to offer an interdisciplinary platform to academicians and executives with the international conferences we organize. In the “International Early Childhood Education Conference: Interdisciplinary Contribution, Theory and Practice Experiences” organized by our Faculty with the initiative of our Department, a forum for dialogue between academicians, Ministry of National Education officials, teachers, school administrators, educational institution leaders, policy makers and executives was established with the participation of academicians from different disciplines (sociology, psychology, medical sciences, cognitive sciences, linguistic sciences, science-mathematics, sports, art and technology) and executives.

While trying to raise the awareness of social responsibility, which is one of the priority areas of our Department, as part of our education, we aim to play an active role in the development of early childhood educational institutions and the execution of projects that will make a difference in the lives of students and their families.
